SUMMARY:

Jeffrey S. Yoshida, MD is a highly-trained urologic oncology surgeon who joined the City of Hope Cancer Center ’s Department of Urology and Urologic Oncology in early 2005. His clinical interests include minimally invasive surgical procedures for malignant and benign urologic diseases, with a special interest in prostate, kidney and testicular cancer. Dr. Yoshida is an integral part of the robotic surgery program.
Dr. Yoshida’s research interests focus on improving early detection of urologic malignancies, understanding and improving continence and potency mechanisms in prostate cancer surgical patients, and the application of robotic-surgical technology to treatment of other urologic disease processes. Dr. Yoshida earned his medical degree from Loma Linda University, where he also completed his residency in 2003. After successfully completing a fellowship in general surgery at Harbor/UCLA Medical Center, he joined the fellowship program at City of Hope in 2004. Dr. Yoshida completed nearly 400 laparoscopic and robotic-assisted procedures during his fellowship. Dr. Yoshida is a fully credentialed staff surgeon at the City of Hope.
